CONDEMNS AMERICA FIRST POLICIES

  • Chubb CEO Evan Greenberg called President Trump’s America First policies harmful on multiple levels. In the 2017 Chubb Limited Annual Report, Greenberg stated: “I am concerned about my country’s America First brand of nationalism and its impact on our image and leadership in both trade and geopolitics in the short and potentially longer term.”
  • In the 2018 Chubb Limited Annual Report, Chubb’s CEO Evan Greenberg attacked the Trump administration, claiming America First policies has damaged America’s reputation for reliability and credibility on the world stage. Greenberg stated: “We are undermining the liberal world order we constructed, including a system of strategic alliances we built and supported for over seven decades.”
  • Chubb’s CEO also railed against the Trump administration’s immigration and trade policies, claiming that the Trump Administration’s trade policies may lead the U.S. into a recession.

Promotes Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI)

  • In an interview, Chubb’s General Counsel Joseph Wayland stated that “diversity, equity and inclusion are the foundation of our Chubb culture,” and “advancing racial justice is central to the company’s core value system.” Wayland also said one of the important ways Chubb is advancing racial justice is through the Chubb Rule of Law Fund, which prioritizes programs and organizations that combat inequality and promote social, economic and racial justice.
  • Chubb is “advancing racial justice” through ensuring “fairness in hiring, promotion, pay, and recognition” as part of the company’s workforce priorities. The website states: “The path towards racial justice and equity is both an individual journey and collective duty. We are standing up to do our part with candor, open minds and a commitment to change.”
  • Chubb hosts employee resource groups to create “inclusive communities” including “IMPACT and Gender Equality Network,” “Mosaic Black Alliance,” “Mosaic LatinX Alliance,” and “Pride.” Chubb also hosts a platform titled “Race Matters” to “facilitate greater consciousness of racism and understanding of the Black experience.”
  • Chubb uses “Inclusive Hiring and Intentional Inclusion” programs help “source and support the best and broadest array of talent, with a special emphasis on professionals from underrepresented groups.” The Chubb Code of Conduct states that employees should “promote diversity, equity and inclusion,” and expects employees to have an “inclusive mindset.”

Supports Transgender Ideology

  • Chubb CEO Evan Greenberg supports men using women’s bathrooms, stating that discriminating against sexual preferences is a “threat to democracy.”
  • Chubb funds trans indoctrination of kids and has made contributions to The Trevor Project through the Chubb Charitable Foundation. The Trevor Project was exposed by Consumers’ Research for operating a private chat room which allowed adults to prey on vulnerable children and for supplying materials intended to advance trans ideology with kids.
  • Chubb proudly boasts its top score of 95 on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index, a scoring system used to rate support for the trans movement and other priorities of the woke left. According to HRC, Chubb “provides Gender Transition Guidelines and at least one additional transgender inclusive policy or practice for its employees” and has “equal health coverage for transgender individuals without exclusion for medically necessary care.”
  • Chubb supported LGBTQ+ policies through company policies, pro bono legal work, and public court filings.

Erodes Public Safety & Second Amendment Rights

  • On its webpage “Advancing Racial Justice,” Chubb brags about supporting radical organization Equal Justice USA (EJUSA), which openly supported convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.
  • The Chubb Rule of Law Fund awarded $1.1 million to projects that promote equity and advance racial justice and police reforms. Joseph Wayland, Chubb’s General Counsel, said Chubb’s focus has turned to what the company can do to fight racial inequities in the United States. Wayland stated: “Awarding Chubb Rule of Law Fund grants to projects that combat racial injustice in our legal system is part of this effort, and these recently funded projects build upon the Fund’s ongoing support for racial justice initiatives.”
  • Chubb has attacked Second Amendment rights, publicly announcing it would stop underwriting the National Rifle Association “Carry Guard” insurance program, caving to woke activists.

Pushes a Radical Climate Agenda

  • Chubb has refused to insure American energy companies, stating on its website, that Chubb will no longer underwrite new coal-fired plants and phase out coverage for existing coal plants that generate more than 30% of its revenue from coal.
  • Chubb also pressures companies to comply with a radical climate agenda by implementing climate goals into the underwriting process. In Chubb’s “2025 Corporate Climate Underwriting Criteria,” the company states they will only insure oil and gas, cement, and steel companies who commit to meet various climate goals.
  • Chubb’s CEO supports companies pushing climate activism, stating: “Making the transition to a low-carbon economy involves planning and action by policymakers, investors, businesses and citizens alike.” Chubb has also asserted that insurance needs to “play a bigger role in climate change adaptation.”
  • Chubb states on its Environment & Climate Change webpage that the company places an emphasis on “supporting environmental resiliency projects throughout the world,” “managing environmental risk,” and “reducing the environmental footprint.”
  • Chubb listed climate change and corporate governance alongside terrorism as having the greatest impact on the insurance industry.
